Finyvo Legal
Terms of Service
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the complete agreement between you and Finyvo regarding your use of the App. Read them at your own pace: they are written to be understood.

Legal Notice: Identification of the operator
The Finyvo mobile application (hereinafter, “the App”, “the Application”, or “Finyvo”) and the finyvo.com website are operated by:
Moisés Núñez
Independent developer
Dominican Republic
Contact: [email protected]
Hereinafter, the operator will be referred to as “Finyvo”, “we”, “us”, or “the Operator”.
Nature of the service
Finyvo is a personal finance organization tool for iPhone. Record transactions manually, from files, or through Apple Pay automations you configure.
Finyvo is not a bank, payment intermediary, currency exchange, or investment adviser. It does not hold funds, access bank credentials, execute transfers, or request merchant refunds. Wallets, contributions, withdrawals, and balance adjustments are records within the app.
Apple Pay capture receives information supplied by Shortcuts: it does not access your bank account or itself confirm a settled charge. See Apple Pay for its conditions.
For European consumers, the European Commission provides a directory of dispute-resolution bodies. This channel does not limit access to competent authorities or courts.
Acceptance of the Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Finyvo, you (“User” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (hereinafter, “Terms”). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not download, install, or use the Application.
These Terms, together with the Legal Notice, the Subscription Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the EULA, form the complete agreement between you and Finyvo regarding your use of the Application.
You can review the current version of these Terms and of the Privacy Policy at any time from within the Application (Settings → About) and at finyvo.com/en/terms and finyvo.com/en/privacy.
Description of the service
Finyvo lets you:
- Record expenses, income, transfers, and refunds in multiple currencies and organize wallets, categories, groups, and tags.
- Create monthly budgets, goals with contributions, withdrawals and spending, and subscriptions with charge records.
- Explore reports by category, group, tag, and income, plus commitments and monthly pace. Indicators are informational, not credit scores.
- Import CSV, TSV, JSON, and Excel (XLS/XLSX) with Plus, up to 5,000 transactions: 10 MB for text/JSON and 5 MB for Excel. Review before saving and undo an import when needed. Excel requires internet and is uploaded in full for backend conversion, even without AI. PDF and images are not interpreted.
- Export a free offline ZIP with CSV and JSON. Extended historical periods require Plus.
- Record purchases through Apple Pay and Shortcuts under the setup and limits below.
- Receive local reminders and action-result messages, with Retry or Undo when available.
- Sync the financial database with your private iCloud and use optional AI for categorization, descriptions, search, and import.
The app stores daily reference exchange-rate tables. Past transactions use rates for their date when available and fall back to available rates when missing. These are not executable quotes or proof of the rate applied by your bank.
iCloud is enabled by default; AI requires your explicit permission to share content with OpenAI. Control them separately in Settings; turning AI off does not prevent Excel conversion or other network services. The Privacy Policy details these flows.
The interface is available in Spanish, English, and Brazilian Portuguese. Information is organizational and is not financial, tax, accounting, legal, or investment advice.
Purchase refunds
The Refund type records a return of money from a merchant. It may be linked fully or partially to one or more original purchases. It reduces economic spending and is not counted as earned income. Category attribution depends on the purchase link: an unallocated portion may reduce total spending without attribution to a category.
Review amounts, currencies, dates, and links. Reports reflect recorded data and may change when corrected; they do not replace bank statements. Recording a refund does not request or execute one and is not the procedure for refunding Plus, described under Subscription.
Apple Pay
Voluntarily configure a personal Shortcuts automation per card and device, with a Finyvo connection and destination wallets you select by currency. Finyvo receives the data Shortcuts supplies; it does not gain general access to Wallet or your bank account.
If amount, currency, and destination are compatible and the capture needs no review, an expense may be recorded automatically. Missing data, possible duplicates, conflicts, or purchases with an unknown charge in the wallet currency may remain pending. Pending captures do not affect financial totals as confirmed expenses; an exchange estimate is not proof of bank settlement.
Review, link to an existing expense, record the actual charge, dismiss, or correct using the available options. Also review matches shown when importing a statement. Capture of every purchase, immediate delivery, and agreement between Apple data and the final charge are not guaranteed.
Pausing or revoking a connection and disabling its automation stops future purchases; it does not erase previous expenses. Syncing or importing data does not automatically activate connections on another iPhone. The Privacy Policy explains evidence, AI, and retention.
Alerts and actions
Reminders are calculated from Finyvo data. Delivery depends on permissions, iOS settings, Focus modes, and background execution opportunities. We do not guarantee an alert at an exact time or that you have seen it. Check deadlines and obligations with the relevant source.
Success and error messages communicate action outcomes. Retry and Undo are offered only when the operation and its state allow them; they are not a general guarantee of reversibility. These messages do not send feedback to the team. Contact us through the form or [email protected].
Usage requirements
To use Finyvo you need:
- An iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later. Finyvo is designed and built for iPhone; it does not offer an iPad-optimized version.
- An Internet connection for features that depend on our backend (exchange rates, brand logos, artificial intelligence features, subscription verification, and in-app purchases). The rest of the Application works offline.
- To be at least thirteen (13) years of age, or the minimum age required in your country to use digital services without parental authorization. For users between 13 and the age of majority, authorization from a parent or legal guardian is required.
The Application is available in Spanish, English, and Brazilian Portuguese, and these Terms and the Privacy Policy are published in the same three languages (see the notice for users in Brazil). If the versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
License to use
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Finyvo grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable, and limited license to download and use the Application on devices that you own or control, exclusively for personal, non-commercial use.
This license is granted in accordance with the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, supplemented by the specific provisions set forth later in this document.
This license does not extend to the third-party software components embedded in the Application, which are governed by their own licenses (see Open source software).
Acceptable use
By using Finyvo you agree to:
- Use the Application solely for personal and lawful purposes.
- Enter truthful and accurate information insofar as this affects your own use.
- Not use the Application to conceal, hide, or launder assets derived from unlawful activities.
- Not attempt to access, alter, probe, or compromise the
api.finyvo.combackend infrastructure by means other than normal use of the Application, nor circumvent the application integrity verification mechanisms. - Not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to obtain the source code, except to the extent strictly permitted by applicable law and by the licenses of the embedded open source components.
- Not resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, or transfer the Application or access to it.
- Not use the Application to create a competing service.
- Not deliberately flood, attack, or overload the servers of Finyvo or its providers.
Finyvo reserves the right to restrict or limit access to its backend services in the event of abusive or automated use, or use that violates the published technical limits (rate limits).
User content
All the financial information you enter into Finyvo (transactions, balances, notes, merchant names, custom categories, goals, budgets, tags, etc.) is and remains your exclusive property. Finyvo claims no rights over that content.
Where your data lives, and what you are responsible for
Your data is stored in your device’s local storage and, as long as you keep sync enabled, is replicated to the private database of your own iCloud account. That database belongs to your Apple account: Finyvo does not host a complete copy of your financial database and cannot read your iCloud copy.
Some features process portions of your data on the backend or with providers, such as AI and Excel conversion. See the Privacy Policy for data flows, retention, and controls.
Accordingly, you are responsible for:
- Securing the device with a passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID, and protecting your Apple account.
- Keeping a backup (iCloud sync, the operating system’s backup, or any other Apple mechanism).
- Keeping and safeguarding the files you export.
If you turn off sync, lose the device, factory-reset it, or uninstall the Application without having made any backup, the local data cannot be recovered: Finyvo keeps no copy from which to restore it.
The files you generate are not encrypted
The files the Application produces —the export of your data (an archive with CSV and JSON files) and any backups you export— contain your financial information and are not encrypted or password-protected. As soon as you save or share them, they fall outside the protection of the Application’s container. You are responsible for where you store them and with whom you share them.
Your data is protected by the passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID configured on your device: Finyvo relies on that lock and does not add a passcode or biometric lock of its own. “Private mode” (the eye icon on Home) hides amounts on screen, but does not prevent access to the Application.
Manual balance correction
The Application lets you manually correct a wallet’s balance to make it match the real balance of your account. That correction adjusts the displayed balance without generating any transaction and therefore does not appear in your list of movements or in your reports, and cannot be undone from within the Application. The balances Finyvo shows reflect what you have recorded, imported, and corrected in it — not data obtained from your financial institution.
Images you upload
If you upload your own image as a subscription logo, you represent that you have the right to use it and that its use within the Application does not infringe third-party rights. That image is stored on your device and, if you have sync enabled, in your own iCloud; it does not reach Finyvo’s servers.
Service availability and modifications
Finyvo strives to keep the Application and its backend services available, but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur due to maintenance, updates, third-party provider failures (Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI, RevenueCat, and others), or force majeure.
Finyvo reserves the right to:
- Modify, add, or remove features at any time.
- Temporarily suspend the service for maintenance.
- Discontinue the Application with reasonable prior notice where feasible.
Features that depend on the backend (exchange rates, brand logos, artificial intelligence features) are subject to usage limits: technical per-minute limits common to all users, and a quota of 50 artificial intelligence requests per calendar month on the free plan (Finyvo Plus has no monthly quota). These limits may be modified at any time without prior notice in order to protect the integrity and availability of the service.
When a backend-dependent feature is unavailable —because there is no connection, because you have used up your quota, or because you turned artificial intelligence off— the Application keeps working with its local engines: it categorizes, searches, filters, and converts currencies using the rates already downloaded.
In-app purchases
Finyvo is offered under a freemium model: most features are available free of charge, subject to certain usage limits. The Finyvo Plus subscription raises or removes those limits and unlocks additional features.
The full subscription terms are set out later in this document. Any purchase within the Application is also subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/.
Intellectual property
The Application, its code, design, interface, Liquid Glass visual system, brand language, logo, the trade names “Finyvo” and “Finyvo Plus”, iconography, copy, and documentation are the property of Finyvo or its licensors, and are protected by the intellectual property laws of the Dominican Republic and applicable international treaties.
This clause does not extend to the third-party software components or to the third-party licensed visual assets that the Application incorporates, including certain animation files, which are governed by the licenses of their respective owners. The full list of those components, with their license and copyright notice, is published at Third-party software and is also inside the Application, under Settings → About → Acknowledgements.
Third-party trademarks
Third-party trade names, logos, icons, and corporate colors (Netflix, Spotify, Apple, Microsoft, Google, and others) that appear in the Application, on the finyvo.com website, and in any Finyvo promotional material are registered or unregistered trademarks of their respective owners. Finyvo claims no rights over them.
Their use is descriptive and referential, for the sole purpose of letting you visually recognize the services they refer to. That use covers: (a) identification of the subscriptions you choose to track; (b) the brand catalog or directory we offer to make that selection easier; and (c) demonstration content within the Application and in promotional material.
Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, association, endorsement, or commercial alliance with those owners. The amounts, dates, and data accompanying those brands in demonstration content are fictitious and do not represent real prices of those services.
If you are a trademark owner and want us to remove your logo from our catalog or from our promotional material, write to [email protected] stating the trademark and your capacity to represent it; we will handle the request within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days.
Open source software
The Application incorporates third-party software components distributed under open source licenses. Each one is governed by its own license, which prevails over the intellectual property clause with respect to that component:
| Component | Copyright holder | License |
|---|---|---|
Lottie (lottie-ios) |
Airbnb, Inc. | Apache License 2.0 |
| ZipFoundation (bundled inside Lottie) | Thomas Zoechling and the project authors | MIT |
| LRUCache (bundled inside Lottie) | Nick Lockwood | MIT |
| EpoxyCore (bundled inside Lottie) | Airbnb, Inc. | See the project’s notice |
RevenueCat (purchases-ios-spm) |
RevenueCat, Inc. | MIT |
Finyvo claims no ownership over these components. The full text of the Apache 2.0 license is available at https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0 and the MIT license at https://opensource.org/license/mit. If you would like a copy of the copyright notices and licenses as distributed with the Application, write to [email protected] and we will send it to you free of charge.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE APPLICATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
IN PARTICULAR, AND WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, FINYVO DOES NOT WARRANT:
- That the Application is free of errors, defects, or interruptions.
- The absolute accuracy of the exchange rates provided. The rates are for reference only, are refreshed when you open the Application and at most once every six hours, may be served from a stored copy when there is no connection, and must not be used for trading, arbitrage, investment decisions, or transactions where real-time precision is critical.
- The accuracy of the categorizations, suggestions, or normalizations produced by the artificial intelligence features or by the local engine. They are suggestions: review them before relying on them.
- The accuracy of the automatic interpretation of the files you import (which column is the date, which is the description, which is the amount, which movements are duplicates). The Application always shows you a review screen before saving, and that review is your responsibility.
- That the financial health score, the projections, or the reports constitute financial advice. They are informational metrics computed using heuristics.
- That the balances shown match those of your financial institution: they depend on what you record, import, or correct.
- That brand logos represent up-to-date or official information about the services you track.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Finyvo, its developers, contributors, and providers shall not be liable for:
- Loss, corruption, or inaccessibility of the data stored on your device or in your iCloud account.
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Application, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of opportunity, reputational harm, loss of information, or consequential loss.
- Financial, tax, or investment decisions you make based on information presented by the Application.
- Interruptions, errors, or changes attributable to third-party services (Apple, Cloudflare, OpenAI, Google, RevenueCat, Brandfetch, exchangerate.host, Web3Forms, NTFY, or others). Each of these services has its own terms and policies, which apply independently of these Terms.
- Losses arising from improper, unauthorized, or fraudulent use of your device or of your Apple account.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finyvo’s total cumulative liability to the User for any claim, regardless of its cause, shall be limited to the amount actually paid by the User for the Finyvo Plus subscription during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or five United States dollars (USD 5.00), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liabilities that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including those arising from willful misconduct or gross negligence.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finyvo and its contributors from any claim, demand, damage, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- Your improper use of the Application.
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Your violation of third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.
- The information or files you enter into the Application if they breach legal obligations applicable to you or the rights of third parties.
Third-party services
The Application and the website integrate with third-party services necessary for their operation. These services have their own privacy policies and terms, which apply independently of these Terms:
- Apple: distribution (App Store), payments and subscription management (StoreKit), application integrity verification (App Attest), and sync with your private iCloud (CloudKit).
- RevenueCat: validation of your subscription status.
- Cloudflare:
api.finyvo.combackend infrastructure and website hosting. - exchangerate.host: exchange rate provider (via our backend).
- Brandfetch: brand logo provider. The search is performed through our backend; the image itself is downloaded by your device directly from the provider’s CDN, which at that moment receives your IP address and the domain of the requested brand.
- OpenAI: language models for the artificial intelligence features (via our backend).
- Google (Gemini): language models for narrative artificial intelligence features (planned for future versions, via our backend).
- Web3Forms: receipt and email forwarding of the website’s contact and feedback forms.
- NTFY: internal backend health notifications (does not expose user data).
The details of what data is exchanged with each provider are described in the Privacy Policy.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, in particular:
- Law No. 358-05 on Consumer Rights Protection.
- Law No. 172-13 on the Protection of Personal Data.
- Other complementary Dominican private law statutes.
The foregoing applies without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the User’s country of residence, which shall prevail where they afford the consumer a higher level of protection.
In the spirit of Law 358-05 on Consumer Protection, the parties agree to seek resolution of any dispute in the following order:
- Good faith negotiation. Before starting any proceeding, the User agrees to contact Finyvo by writing to [email protected], setting out the claim clearly. Finyvo will respond within a reasonable time, normally no longer than fifteen (15) business days.
- Pro-Consumidor (consumers in the DR). Consumers residing in the Dominican Republic may, at any time, file their claim with the National Institute for the Protection of Consumer Rights (Pro-Consumidor) without first exhausting direct negotiation.
- Courts. If no agreement is reached, disputes shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, except where the consumer protection legislation of the User’s country of residence grants specific jurisdiction to local courts.
- No mandatory exclusive arbitration. In accordance with Law 358-05, Finyvo does not impose binding arbitration as the exclusive means of resolution. The parties may voluntarily submit to arbitration by agreement entered into after the dispute arises.
Modifications to the Terms
Finyvo may modify these Terms at any time to reflect changes in the Application, in applicable legislation, or in operational practices. When material modifications occur:
- The updated version will be published on the website and linked from within the Application.
- The “Last updated” date at the top of the document will be updated.
- Where the changes affect essential User rights, notice will be given inside the Application.
Continued use of the Application after the effective date of the changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Application and, optionally, delete it.
Termination
You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Application from your device. Note that uninstalling does not delete the copy of your data stored in your iCloud account: to remove it, go to iOS Settings → [Your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Finyvo. If you have an active subscription, its management and cancellation are handled through your Apple account (see the subscription section).
Finyvo may terminate or suspend your access to the backend services if we determine, at our reasonable discretion, that you have materially breached these Terms or used the Application fraudulently or unlawfully. The Application will continue to work locally with its own engines.
Clauses that by their nature must survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, dispute resolution) shall remain in force after termination.
General provisions
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Legal Notice, the Subscription Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the EULA, constitute the entire agreement between you and Finyvo, and supersede any prior communication or agreement relating to the Application.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remainder of the document shall remain in full force.
- No waiver. Finyvo’s failure to exercise any right contained in these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without Finyvo’s prior written authorization. Finyvo may assign them to a successor in interest (for example, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or corporate restructuring) by notifying Users.
- Language. In the event of any discrepancy between the Spanish version and any translation, the Spanish version shall prevail, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the User’s country of residence.
Finyvo Plus Subscription Terms
This section is drafted in compliance with Guideline 3.1.2 of Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines on the disclosure of auto-renewable subscriptions.
Freemium model
Finyvo operates under a free plan (“Free”) with a premium subscription layer called Finyvo Plus. Both plans share the same Application codebase; Finyvo Plus raises or removes the usage limits and unlocks additional features.
Free plan limits
The free plan includes:
- 2 active wallets at a time (archived wallets do not count toward the limit).
- 3 active subscriptions at a time.
- 1 active savings goal.
- 1 custom category group + 2 custom categories in total (the categories and subcategories that ship with the Application do not count toward this limit).
- 5 custom tags.
- 50 artificial intelligence requests per calendar month, resetting on the 1st of each month (UTC).
- Unlimited transactions.
- Multi-currency, with reference exchange rates.
- Reports for the current month, the current week, and the previous week.
- iCloud sync and full export of your data, at no cost.
- No advertising.
Finyvo Plus benefits
The Finyvo Plus subscription unlocks:
- Active wallets with no plan limit. The free plan allows 2; with Finyvo Plus there is no ceiling. Archived wallets do not count toward the free plan’s limit.
- Custom categories with no plan limit. On the free plan you can create one custom group and two custom categories; with Finyvo Plus, as many as you want.
- Active subscriptions with no plan limit.
- Savings goals with no plan limit.
- Tags with no plan limit.
- Artificial intelligence with no monthly quota (the infrastructure’s per-minute technical limits, common to all users, still apply).
- Tags suggested by artificial intelligence when recording a transaction.
- Reports for any historical period and custom range.
- CSV, TSV, JSON, and Excel (XLS/XLSX) import: up to 5,000 transactions; 10 MB for text/JSON and 5 MB for Excel. Excel conversion takes place on the backend.
- Family Sharing: when included in the Apple offer, up to six members of your Family Group can share the subscription.
Available products, prices, and duration
Finyvo Plus is offered in two auto-renewable subscription plans:
| Plan | Product identifier | Duration | Reference price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Finyvo Plus Monthly | finyvo_plus_monthly |
1 month | USD 4.99 |
| Finyvo Plus Yearly | finyvo_plus_yearly |
12 months | USD 39.99 |
The prices shown are for reference, in United States dollars. Apple determines the equivalent in your local currency using its standardized pricing table (Pricing Matrix), so they may vary between regions. The exact amount you will be charged, including taxes where applicable, is shown inside the Application before you confirm the purchase. Prices may change with prior notice in accordance with App Store rules.
Automatic renewal
- Your subscription will renew automatically at the end of each period (monthly or yearly) for the same price and duration as the current plan, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The charge will be applied to your Apple account within the 24 hours prior to the end of the period.
- Renewal occurs at the price in force at the time of renewal. If Apple notifies a price change, it will inform you and, under Apple’s terms, may require your explicit consent before applying the new price.
Management and cancellation
Your subscription is managed and billed by Apple: Finyvo cannot cancel, modify, or refund it on your behalf. You can open Apple’s management panel directly from the Application (Settings → Finyvo Plus → Manage, which shows the native iOS sheet) or from your iPhone:
Settings (iPhone) → [Your name] → Subscriptions → Finyvo Plus
From there you can cancel automatic renewal (you keep access until the end of the paid period), switch between the monthly and yearly plans, or reactivate a cancelled subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: there are no refunds for unused partial periods, subject to refunds granted by Apple and your applicable statutory rights.
Restoring a previous purchase
If you change devices, reinstall the Application, or lose access to Finyvo Plus despite having an active subscription, you can recover it without paying again: open the Finyvo Plus screen inside the Application and tap Restore. The Application will check your App Store purchase history and reactivate your access if it finds an active subscription.
Restoring works with the Apple account used to make the purchase. If you used a different account, sign in to the App Store with that account before restoring. Finyvo cannot manually reactivate a subscription: purchase information is held by Apple.
Refunds
All refunds of Finyvo Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple, not by Finyvo. To request a refund, you must contact Apple directly:
Apple decides whether a refund is granted in accordance with its policy. Finyvo has neither the technical nor the legal ability to process refunds for purchases made through the App Store, and does not guarantee that Apple will grant them.
Trial periods and promotions
Finyvo may occasionally offer free trial periods or introductory prices through the App Store’s introductory offers mechanism. When offered:
- The specific conditions will be clearly shown before you confirm the subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you start a paid subscription, in accordance with Apple’s policies.
- Promotions may be subject to eligibility restrictions by user, device, Apple account, or region, as defined by Apple.
Family Sharing
When the Finyvo Plus offer supports Family Sharing, you can share it with your Apple Family Group (up to six members, including you), subject to Apple’s terms. Check availability in the offer before purchasing.
Each member of the group keeps their own data on their own device and in their own iCloud account: financial data is not shared between group members.
The subscription mirror in the Subscriptions module
When Finyvo recognizes a Plus subscription that you purchased, is active, has auto-renewal enabled and is outside a trial period, it creates an entry in your “Subscriptions” module. It reflects frequency, amount, next charge and logo, and updates according to RevenueCat / Apple. Cancellation or expiration changes its status without deleting your own payment history.
Your own charges that Finyvo verifies in Apple’s transaction history are recorded as expenses and deducted from the assigned wallet. When Finyvo receives evidence of an Apple refund, it removes the linked expense and reverses its effect on the balance, even after you cancel renewal. Future bookkeeping charges are not generated without payment evidence. Family Sharing access does not record someone else’s charges as yours.
If you have no wallet in the currency of the charge, or no category assigned, Finyvo does not record the charge until you complete that information. You can change the assigned wallet and category from the Subscriptions module. The Plus entry is protected from manual deletion; cancel renewal through Apple’s subscription management.
This record is your own bookkeeping, on your device: it does not generate any additional charge and has no effect on billing, which Apple manages exclusively.
Plan changes (Free ↔ Plus)
- If you are currently a Free user and purchase Finyvo Plus, plan access is enabled when the subscription is confirmed. Connected features must also verify access with our backend. If that check is still pending because of the network or purchase services, the app tells you and lets you retry; you do not need to buy again.
- If you are a Plus user and let your subscription expire (or cancel it), you will automatically return to the Free plan when the paid period ends. So that a connectivity problem does not lock you out, the Application keeps your Plus access for up to seven (7) additional days counted from the expiration date while it cannot verify your subscription status with the server; past that margin, it downgrades to the Free plan and notifies you inside the Application. If your subscription was still active, access is restored automatically when you reconnect.
- Your data is preserved in full when you return to the Free plan: nothing is deleted. Certain features become locked or limited again, in line with the free plan limits. For example, if you had 6 active wallets on Plus, they will all still exist and you can keep using them, but you will not be able to create new ones until you archive some and keep at most 2 active.
Subscription verification
To validate your subscription status, Finyvo uses the RevenueCat SDK, a third-party platform that receives Apple’s receipt and validates it against App Store servers. RevenueCat:
- Receives the encrypted receipt of your purchase and an pseudonymous identifier assigned by its SDK.
- Does not receive your Apple ID, your name, or your email address.
- Returns to the Application only your subscription status (“premium” active or inactive) and the expiration date.
That pseudonymous identifier also goes to our own backend, together with the technical identifier of your installation, for a single purpose: so the server can tell whether your installation has Finyvo Plus active. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
End User License Agreement (EULA)
The Finyvo Application is distributed exclusively through Apple’s App Store. Accordingly, use of the Application is subject to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (Apple’s standard EULA), except for those provisions modified or supplemented by these Terms.
Full text of Apple’s standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
Summary of the EULA as applied to Finyvo
Without prejudice to the prevailing full text published by Apple, the essential aspects relevant to the User are:
- Acknowledgement. The license agreement is entered into between the User and Finyvo (Licensor), not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Application or its content.
- Scope of the license. A personal, non-transferable, limited license is granted to use the Application on any Apple product the User owns or controls, in accordance with the App Store Usage Rules and, where applicable, via Family Sharing.
- Maintenance and support services. Finyvo is responsible for supporting the Application. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services. For support: [email protected].
- Warranties. Finyvo is solely responsible for any express or implied warranty. If the Application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, the User may notify Apple, who will refund the purchase price (if any). To the extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation.
- Product claims. Any claim relating to the Application, including product liability, compliance with legal requirements, infringement of consumer rights, or any similar regulation, is Finyvo’s responsibility, not Apple’s.
- Intellectual property claims. In the event a third party claims that the Application or the use of the Application infringes its intellectual property rights, Finyvo (not Apple) will be responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
- Legal compliance. The User represents that (a) they are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and (b) they are not listed on any U.S. list of restricted or prohibited parties.
- Apple as third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and, upon the User’s acceptance, will have the right to enforce the EULA’s provisions as a third-party beneficiary.
Notice for users in Brazil
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are also published in Brazilian Portuguese: finyvo.com/pt/terms and finyvo.com/pt/privacy. The Portuguese versions are courtesy translations: if the versions differ, the Spanish version prevails (see General provisions).
If you reside in Brazil and have questions about the processing of your data under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (Lei 13.709/2018), write to [email protected].
